I can enhance your Roman displays by being part of a living static or mobile interactive display in your premise. I will happily mingle with your patrons entertaining & talking to them, posing for photos etc.

I could give a guided tour of your Roman displays, explaining the use of the artefact's in Roman life.

I can also do a similar performance with your younger visitors as I do in the schools marching them round your premise. Please refer to school performance section.

All equipment is authentic, using the same materials as were used in Roman times. The drill and language is also genuine and has been taken from historical records. All I have done is turned it into a theatrical, fun way of learning about the history of the Romans in Scotland in a way that children & adults can understand, relate to and enjoy, whilst having a chance to interact and learn with a Live Roman. It is all designed to be fun & informative.

As well as taking my performance into schools & museums I can also visit other groups with an interest in the Romans including adult groups. I can visit young archaeology groups, local historical societies, any community based groups with a need to see & interact with a Roman.

I may be able to tailor make a package for you. If it is a youth group of Primary school age then the standard school package can be used & adapted slightly to suit your needs.

Requirements

I require a decent size room if doing school type workshop, or outside area depending on weather, to carry out the performance and active drill with the children. If we do the live exhibit scenario then I just need to confirm the area of operations, I also need a room where I can change. If you want me to discuss your collection then some information will be required about your artefact's.

I require about an hour before performance so that I can prepare equipment and change and assess the venue. This hour is preparation time and free, only performance time is chargeable. Access as close to your premise with my vehicle is a great help as there is some heavy equipment for me to transport and use in the performance.

A member of staff must be present at all times during the performance for health and safety reasons there are no exceptions on this rule.

I have an enhanced disclosure certificate, child protection policy, risk assessments, public liability insurance & first aid certificate. I offer a very professional service with plenty of experience working with children and the public.
